As I read each day, one entry per day I gained inspiration and education on addiction as a whole. I gained great confidence from reading the motivational words leaping from the page of this powerfully inspiring book. I cannot fathom the pain in Mrs. Owen's heart, but applaud her bravery to provide an insightful glimpse into her world, as she grieved the loss of her son. Some days, I read an entry a couple of times - these entries challenged every ounce of my being, in that if Mrs. Owen could endure the loss of her child, I could surely endure one constructive act per day. I grew with the Owen family. I grieved with the Owen family - I felt truly apart of their pain - I enjoyed the small victories of their substantial contributions to their community and their ability to give back to others who struggle with this dreadful disease. I am in awe of Mrs. Owens' ability to capture the raw and genuine feelings of not only her family, but every family who struggles with the disease of addiction. I'll reference this book for years to come and share it with everyone I know!Product details

Super insight for families dealing with addiction. Well reaearched. The authors journey and tireless quest to relate information helpful to all feeling helpless due to heroin addiction and other drugs.
I have learned so much from this book. It is written by the wonderful mother to Davis Owen. Though his life was lost, so many have gained support & "life" in their recovery from addiction to heroin thru the "Zone".This book brings you information on heroin addiction & is a must read for parents, siblings, friends, and anyone who understands this is a lethal epidemic in our country. It spares no one & as a sibling of a recovering addict & as a parent I highly recommend it.
A must have for anyone who knows someone struggling with addiction!
This is a must read for anyone grieving for a loved one lost to heroin or any drug overdose, and those loved ones that are suffering and struggling everyday. I read her daily "constructive acts" as she was going through the horrible suffering of losing her precious child. They helped me get through the day as I was dealing with my child's heroin struggle. Reading this book with all the acts put together 2 years later is just as powerful!
