This was just a so-so novel. It had promise-- I do like second chance romances and Ben seemed like a nice guy--but in the end the motivation for Ben and Hailey being together was too thin. They had a one-night stand when he was 19 and she 18, after sitting next to each other at a sporting event: fine. But based on that one night, when he sees her nine years later, he wants to pick up where he left off? And she wants to be with him as well, after everything that's happened-- without wanting to have an open discussion with him?Really????
Even making some allowances for her being gun-shy, the whole thing just defies belief.

This was a great book with love and romance and a twist of sorrow. You could laugh and cry all at once.

Mc Hugh 's books in this Kelly brothers series just keep getting better! Loved it! It's such a touching and heart wrenching story that ultimately leads to love.

Second in the series had me crying at parts. As a parent and grandparent this book had a heart wrenching plot. It is a good book, great characters, emotion, family love and a beautiful conclusion. Except for one thing, did the Canadian Women's hockey team win the gold in the book?.
I read the book straight through without putting it down. The characters are deep and real and as with all her books the story is well written. I really liked the first book in the series but liked this one even more. It's a sweet yet sad love story with a steaming hot guy and has just the right amount of sizzle. Loved the way the book opens with a steaming love scene. Ben is the kinda man we all hope to find and I love Hailey's strong character and determination. I spent most of the book worrying about The Monarch of the Kelly Maureen who wasn't even in this book. By the end of the book I was thankful I didn't have to be there when she found out she had a grandchild she never knew. That alone speaks to the depth of these characters, I would not have been able to hold back the tears if I lived that with her.
